Freelance graphic designer, art director and illustrator, based in Bucharest.
I realize that being in this business since 1998 doesn't mean too much. Yet in so many years, of which 18 were spent in agency, where projects hardly repeated, I learned and I grew with every single project I worked on.
I have a Fine Arts degree, but I'm self-educated in graphic design. A survival mode that developed into a profession/religion. My first brain food in '98 was a few issues of Ray Gun and Creative Review, praised like jewels. More followed and helped me grow one way or another. The Designers Republic, Hi-Res!, Pentagram, Mother, Traktor, to name a few. Skittles and Diesel commercials left a serious mark. I’ve had a lot of support from my agency colleagues - my second family.
From the lemons I got from life I made a fantastic lemonade as a freelancer, working on branding and illustration projects (12 years of art school pays off), packaging and wayfinding. Clearly I put my eggs in too many baskets, but I love them all and that's my strength. I aim to keep a high level idea and execution, while also creating bold and distinctive work for my clients. I genuinely care for what I deliver.
